Government of Aragón — Instituto Aragonés de la Mujer (IAM)

Marca de Excelencia en Igualdad de Aragón. Designing a regional government distinction.

An official mark regulated by decree, awarded to organisations advancing real gender equality in Aragón.

The Instituto Aragonés de la Mujer (IAM), the autonomous body of the Government of Aragón responsible for gender-equality policies, commissioned Bozeta to design the visual system for the Marca de Excelencia en Igualdad de Aragón — an official distinction regulated by Decree 71/2025, awarded to companies and public entities with demonstrable results in equality. This was not a logo project. It was the design of a piece of public infrastructure: a brand that would be applied to dossiers, plaques, official communications and regulatory documents, and would have to coexist with the visual identities of the Government of Aragón and the IAM itself. We led the strategy, the visual identity and the corporate identity manual, working closely with the IAM team to make sure the result was institutional, legible, and unmistakably contemporary.

A symbol born from the wave that runs through every Aragonese institution.

The symbol was built by reinterpreting the institutional wave element shared by the Government of Aragón and the IAM, fragmented and reorganised into a new digital-native form. The mark is now in active use across the region, identifying organisations recognised for their commitment to equality, and Bozeta is identified in the official manual as the design entity responsible for the brand system. For us, the project demonstrated something the studio cares about: that work for public administrations can hold creative ambition without losing institutional rigour.
